V. FEDERAL REGISTER DETERMINATIONS

The following is the preliminary assessment of the Applegate Trail’s eligibility to be accepted as a historic site listed on the National Register of Historic Places (National Register). The assessment is not an end, but the beginning of a process to evaluate the trial’s potential. The goal is to have provided a body of information before the local hearing bodies to consider the value of managing Applegate Trail with a sense of stewardship predicated upon recognition of the importance of the trial in our local county’s history. This section has three parts.
