HISTORICAL BUILDINGS

Definition - Historic buildings are usually at least 50 years old.  Buildings less than 50 years of age must be exceptionally important to be considered eligible for inventory as a cultural asset.

Purpose - Hugo is blessed with a rich heritage of historic buildings.  A  Committee is being formed to bring together all those who appreciate old buildings in our area and who want to learn more about them, from the casual admirer to the dedicated researcher.  The aim is to collect and record information about Hugo's historic buildings, and to share this information (e.g. through Hugo History Day, talks, group visits, training, exercises, workshops, publications, web sites, etc.).
