THE AGRICULTURAL LAND & OPEN SPACES

The agricultural land and open spaces of Augustus Walker’s donation land claim south of Jumpoff Joe Creek still exist.  For the 150 years what started out as prairie has been farm land and is today zoned “Exclusive Farm” by Josephine County.  In the 1930s farmer C.T. Hansen developed a major irrigation pipeline to the farm from upper Jumpoff Joe Creek.
